CliperX ("we", "our", "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our macOS application and related services.

2. Data We Collect

2.1 Local Data (On Your Device)

• Clipboard content you copy while the App is running
• Your App settings and preferences
• AI usage history and credit balance

All clipboard data is stored locally on your Mac. We never transmit your clipboard content to our servers unless you explicitly use an AI feature (translate, summarize, etc.).

2.2 Data Sent to Our Servers

• AI feature requests: Text snippets you select for translation, summarization, or analysis are sent to our servers for processing and immediately discarded after processing.
• Anonymous usage statistics: Page views, download counts, and anonymous device identifiers for analytics purposes.
• Payment information: Processed by our payment providers (Paddle, ZPay). We do not store credit card details.

3. How We Use Your Data

• To provide and improve the App's functionality
• To process AI feature requests
• To manage your subscription and licensing
• To analyze anonymous usage patterns for product improvement

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

• AI Processing: DeepSeek API — for translation, summarization, and text analysis features
• Payment Processing: Paddle and ZPay — for handling Pro license purchases
• Hosting: Cloudflare Workers — for our backend API

Each service has its own privacy policy governing data they collect.

5. Data Retention

• AI request text is not stored and is discarded immediately after processing
• Account and license data is retained while your account is active
• Anonymous analytics are aggregated and retained for 90 days

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request deletion of your data
• Opt out of anonymous analytics
• Export your data

7. Data Security

We implement reasonable security measures to protect your data. Clipboard content is encrypted locally using macOS standard encryption. All API communications use HTTPS/TLS encryption.

8. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

9. International Users

The App is available globally. By using the App, you consent to the transfer of data to our servers. We comply with applicable data protection regulations including GDPR.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the App or by email.
